Lisa's School of Dance

Baby Ballet

Fees: Resident: $50  |  Non-resident: $60  | Tuesdays  |  1/17 - 2/21  |  10:15 am - 10:45 am  | Ages 2 - 3 yrs

This class is without parents. The class teaches beginner ballet and movement basics while focusing on gross motor skills and preschool social and behavioral preparation.


Fees: Resident: $50  |  Non-Resident: $60  | Mondays |  1/16 - 2/20 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm | Ages 3 - 5 years

Class will concentrate on developing basic skill in the styles of ballet and jazz. Dancers will learn classical ballet techniques at the barre and center floor then move to a faster tempo jazz that will end with dancers learning a jazz combination. Dancers will perform a short dance at the last class. Attire: comfortable clothes, clean gym shoes or jazz shoes, hair pulled back away from face. No jeans please.

Hip Hop and Pom

Fees:  Resident: $50  |  Non-Resident: $60  | Tuesdays |  1/16 - 2/20 6:15 pm - 7:00 pm | Ages 5 - 7 years

Learn basic pom technique and the latest hip hop trends. The class will learn a shirt dance that will be performed for parents at the last class. Attire: comfortable clothes, clean gym shoes or jazz shoes, hair pulled back away from face. No jeans please.

Baby and Me

Fees:  Resident: $50  |  Non-Resident: $60  | Tuesdays |  1/17 - 2/21 9:30 am - 10:00 am | Ages 18 mos - 2 years

This class is offered for moms, dads, grandparents and caretakers to participate with little dancers in a ballet class that incorporates basic dance moves, fun partner movement activities, great music and of course time to spend with your little ones.

Thrills and Chills of Ice Cream  

Fees: Resident: $47 | Non-resident: $52  |  Wednesday 11/9 |  6:00 - 8:300 pm |  Ages 6 – 12 yrs.  

Exploring and eating ice cream is a fun way to introduce early physics and chemistry concepts to children. Become an expert on this beloved treat and then sit down for the most outrageous ice cream eating contest in town! Did anyone say BRAIN FREEZE? Ice Cream themed games too. Bonus material: Learn the history and science of the amusement park treat Dippin Dots. Ice cream themed souvenir included.

Babysitting for Success

Fees:  Resident: $31  | Non-Resident: $36 | Saturday 11/12 |  7 - 8 pm  |  Ages 10  – 15 yrs.

Learn the skills to safely care for children, basic first aid, emergency management and fun activities for all ages. Group and teacher led discussions and role playing during class allow you to participate in every aspect of the class. There will be a DVD presentation and special activities throughout class. Please bring a doll and a healthy snack.


Chess Scholars

Fees:  Resident: $86  | Non-Resident: $86 | Thursdays 11/3 - 12/15 |  6 - 7 pm  |  Ages 5  – 12 yrs.

Develop your child's intellect through chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills and creativity. This class is for children with little or no previous chess experience. All participants will learn the rules of chess as well as some basic strategies. (No class on Nov 24)

Let's Build It!

Fees:  Resident: $90  | Non-Resident: $90 | Wednesdays 11/2 - 12/14 |  6 - 7 pm  |  Ages 6  – 11 yrs.

This class takes a hands-on approach to engineering, allowing students to directly engage with basic engineering concepts through a variety of fun and educational activities. Students will improve their problem solving, math and physics skills, all while engaging in exciting building projects. (No class on Nov 23)
