  1. Not in Our Town | The Fire Next Time

    June 15, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Gail Borden Public Library

Join us on Thursday, June 15, 7 p.m., at the Gail Borden Public Library (270 N. Grove Ave. in the Meadows Community Rooms) for The Fire Next Time, which profiles a rapidly growing community caught in a web of conflicts. After domestic terror cell's plot to kill local leaders is uncovered, the citizens of Flathead Valley must decide what to do. Ex-cop Brenda Kitterman and environmentalist Mike Raimen discover that standing up has its consequences. The story reflects on some of the country's most critical issues: the role of media in spreading intolerance, the high stakes in battle over growth, and the increasingly polarized political atmosphere. Refreshments and conversation to follow. Sponsored by the GBPL, Elgin PD, ECC MAGIC, Elgin Human Relations Commission, Elgin City of Peace & Coalition of Elgin's Religious Leaders.
