  1. Elgin PD Use of Force Presentation

    The Elgin Police Department will be hosting a community presentation on the Elgin police use of force on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Centre of Elgin's Heritage Ballroom, 100 Symphony Way. In an effort to help citizens better understand police use of force, this presentation will give an overview of the use of force options available to Elgin officers, state law guiding police use of force, police department policies, and how deployment efforts are made. The presentation is designed to educate our community as to how the Elgin Police Department utilizes training to properly deploy force options. There is no fee to attend the presentation. No pre-registration is required to attend. A parent or guardian must accompany participants under the age of 18. Commander Ana Lalley may be contacted at 847-289-2761 with any questions.
