Elgin Community Network

Where Neighborhoods Connect

An independent, citizen-based organization created to provide a structure for communication, collaboration, and cooperation between neighborhoods, city council, and staff, and to promote resident involvement through the creation of Neighborhood Area Boards (NAB) representing all interests in each area, and one central Elgin Community Network (ECN) consisting of representatives from each of those areas.

The ECN invites you to participate with other stakeholder representatives from your neighborhood, including neighborhood associations, neighborhood watch, schools, not-for-profit groups, churches and businesses.

Other projects currently being sponsored by the ECN include a series of informational monthly seminars held at Gail Borden Public Library on subjects of interest to community residents, such as transportation, energy efficiency, city services and other government issues.

Your interest and participation is important. If you would like to know more about getting involved in an area board or neighborhood group where you live, please call the ECN representative in your area. Visit the ECN website or visit them on Facebook.
